Volunteers needed to act as marshals and helpers at the National Schools Triathlon 18 - 20th March Rabbit Island
Nelson Triathlon Club, with the support of Sport Tasman, has been asked to host this event which is expected to attract about 400 of the country's best young athletes.
We aim to provide these youngsters and their supporters an experience that they will three days that they will remember for the quality sporting event and the hospitality of the region.
To do this we are going to need over 100 volunteers who between them are going to provide:
> a warm welcome
> safe and well run races for the competitors
> guidance to supporters so that they can enjoy the whole event.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
