We apologise that you had to resort to processed and pasteurised milk from supermarkets and other vending machines for the last week. We are aware that many of you experienced a great degree of inconvenience - be it in the form of having had to deal with the strange taste of non-raw milk, the absence of a nice cream layer or simply the awareness that you are consuming a processed, far-from-fresh product.
After a sudden fault in our plant which led us down a path of extensive investigation and servicing, we had to go through a thorough testing regime in accordance with Ministry guidelines to ensure that the issue had been identified and remidiated.
While the last week has been a stressful one, we are also thankful for having a system in place which allows for safeguarding our milk quality. We are continuing to jump through hoops but do not anticipate any more obstacles thrown our way...
Once again, our sincere apology for your inconvenience and thanks so much for your many emails and messages of support and kindness!

I have purchased an item from Rangiora, Christchurch through Trade Me. It is an indoor cycle trainer weighing around 12 kilos at a guess. Is anyone able to transport it to Richmond on my behalf? My phone is 021 0707234. John Hewitt.

I have a 2+1 sit-on kayak and a couple of kids that are adventurous but not keen to do too much whitewater. Since it is summer (less water) I assume a nice leisurely paddle would be relaxing and fun. My wife could drop us off and then pick us up downriver. I'm just not sure where good put-in and take-out points would be. Also, will the water be high enough the whole way? Can I avoid whitewater? If anyone has advice please share, thanks in advance.
UPDATE: I paddled down from Peninsular Road in Ngatimoti to the bridge at Alexander Bluff Road. It was a beautiful hour-long paddle with a few little rapids. There was enough water to paddle (in January at least) and the rapids weren't too scary for my daughter.
