SPCA STILL DESPERATE FOR OLD FACE CLOTHS OR TOWELS CUT TO SIZE FOR RAGS

Teena Smith from Maitai

Do you have any old face cloths or time to cut up some of your old towels to face cloth size for rags.
The SPCA are desperate for rags of that size.
Can be dropped off to Waimea Road centre or I am happy to deliver when I volunteer up there on a Thurs if you would like to drop them off to me.

ALTERNATIVELY is anyone in The Wood / central Nelson interested in volunteering & cutting up towels to face cloth size if I bought a large quantity home from the centre with me? I used to get my father to do it in the rest home but he is now physically unable.

They don't need to be anything flash, they are just for rags!
Drop of 20 Pitt St by my mailbox or front door is fine.
Many thanks in advance.

For the month of November, we want to raise awareness and work together to end all forms of violence including family harm, elder and child abuse, sexual assault, gang violence, and more. These victimisations affect us all and can have lasting effects that spill into our everyday lives including at work and school.

To do your part this month, perhaps consider supporting a women’s refuge or work with Police in your area to host an info night on how to identify elder or child abuse in your community. This month’s campaign also coincides with White Ribbon Day on 25 November which is an internationally celebrated day that aims to prevent violence towards women.

Let us know how you’re spreading the ‘It’s Not OK’ message in your home or in your community by tagging us in your posts + using the following hashtag so we can see what you get up to:
