WATCH OUT -SCAM saying you've been videoed on your own computer.
See details and advice here on Netsafe NZ: www.netsafe.org.nz...
The scam is a horrible one, demanding money as the scammer has hacked your computer, and used your camera to film you (or a member of your family) doing a sexual activity. IT IS A SCAM and nothing to worry about!
WHAT TO DO IF YOU’VE BEEN AFFECTED:
• Do not respond or send any payments to the scammer.
•If the body of the email also shows one of your email passwords, immediately change your password on any online email accounts that you think may have been breached. The website ‘Have I Been Pwned?’ contains details about a number of large data breaches. You can visit the site to check if your email address is listed as being affected by any of the breaches included on the site. If your email address is listed, make sure you update your password on any of the affected sites.
• Delete the scam email and mark it as spam so that your email filter removes it from your inbox.
• Consider setting up different password variations for each online email account – this means going forward that even if one account is breached, no other account should be affected.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
