Want to make a worm farm ?
We have someone at the Community Gardens in The Brook who can help you make a worm farm. Bring your own buckets and he will supply worms, holes in the bucket and show you how to put it all together. Get bucket from Mitre 10, Bunnings, Recycle Centre, etc. You'll need 3 of them. And a little koha would be appreciated if possible. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
