Help Patients and their Families Get Through Their Toughest Times!
This Saturday 11th December marks one year to the day that my son Brodie had a bone marrow transplant due to being diagnosed with auto immune Aplastic Anemia. There have been a few "speed bumps" along the way, and a long way to go, but overall Brodies recovery has gone remarkably well.
To mark the anniversary, Brodie, a keen multisporter, had signed up to take part in the Taupo Half Ironman, but alas, due to covid this has been cancelled.
However, this will not stop Brodie going the distance, so on Saturday he is heading up to St Arnaud to do a 1.9km swim, 90km bike, and 21km run. But he needs your support.
Brodie has set up an ambitious fundraiser, to raise $100,000 for RANUI HOUSE ( a home away from home for patients and their whanau while they are undergoing lifesaving treatment ) and the ADOLESCENT & YOUNG ADULT CANCER SERVICE (AYACS).
Below are the links to Brodies give-a-little page & "Brodies Journey" Facebook page.
The fundraising will be ongoing, with Brodie also signed up to do the 2022 Coast to Coast & 2022 Taupo NZ Ironman ( full event this time! ), so please take the time to check out his story, donate if you can, and share the links far & wide to help him achieve his fundraising goal.
Your help will be hugely appreciated.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
