Summer Tango in Nelson - Queens Gardens - 10 March

Anne-Maree from The Wood

Come and watch some of the best Tango dancers in NZ and many dancers from overseas strutting their finest Tango moves and listen to beautiful Tango music in the Queens Gardens. Every year we celebrate the Argentine Tango in Nelson. This year Viva la Vaca will join us and be selling delicious Argentinean fare. So come and join us for a fun day for all the family. Entrance off Bridge St, we’ll see you under the big Palm Tree.

If it is a hot day please cover up with a hat, sun screen etc and most of the chairs may be taken by dancers so there will be some rugs on the ground but maybe bringing a portable chair would be a good idea. This event is weather dependant.

See you all on Sat 10 March.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
