Nelson Central School who are fundraising for their Tamariki Toa Kapa Haka group to attend the National Primary Schools Kapa Haka competition in Gisbourne this November 2017.
The parents and teachers in Te Pouahi are working hard to fundraise the costs for travel, accommodation, food, rental vehicles, and kapa haka materials. They need all the help they can from the family and friends of Tamariki Toa so feel free to donate too their Give a Little page here.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
