Blas Rivera in Nelson for 2 performances
Blas Rivera, Argentinean composer, musician, story teller will be in Nelson for two performances. Fri 21 April at the Playhouse in Mapua "An evening with Blas Rivera" where Blas will play jazz/tango sax and piano, $20 on the door. Performance 8pm followed by tango social dancing. Come out and have a wine and platter and join us the for an exciting evening. Silent Movie Performance night will be on 24 April at the Nelson Musical Theatre where Blas will accompany various scenes from Silent Movies dating from 1922 to 2011. He will talk about the improvisation process and also have a Q&A time after the performance. The evening will continue on with tango social dancing. $20 on the door, Bar opens at 6.15pm, performance at 7pm. For more information email annemaree@tangolibre.com

Calling all those in Wheelchairs
Hi, I'm Simon .... a 44 yr old wheelchair user who wants to meet others in a similar position as myself (particularly a woman). I've been a sole parent now for almost 18 years and my son has just left the nest, so I thought it was time to start on the next stage of my life. I have cerebral palsy that effects just my legs (kinda the reason I can't walk) sooooooo if any of you are interested in getting to know me, flick me a message. I enjoy spending time with my son when he comes to visit and my pets (1 cat and 2 birds), I also enjoy building computers as well as a bit of gaming/watching TV too.
