Winter Art Deco festival
Just when you thought you were safe, I bring you the Winter Art Deco festival. It's surprising how many don't know we actually have one but maybe because it's a lot smaller. People do come from Auckland and Australia for this one and if you have granny's fur coat stashed away, this is the time to bring it out. I'm already preparing my knitted outfit for the event. With the sudden cold snap on Sunday, it's time to consider knitting for the cooler months. The Sallies Shop on Carlyle Street has some great wool bargains if you are quick. My friends and I will be back at the knitting group at Wool N Things at the Onekawa shops every Saturday from 10-1.

Lest we forget...
On this ANZAC Day, let's take a moment to remember and honor the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country.
Tell us who are you honouring today. Whether it's a story from the battlefield or a memory of a family member who fought in the war, we'd love you to share your stories below.
Getting unfinished projects finished
This is an international project that completes projects left when someone dies. You pay postage to get it to a volunteer and for them to return it to you.
