IMPORTANT CIVIL DEFENCE EMERGENCY INFORMANTION & PLANNING MEETING!

Napier Neighbourhood Support Inc

WHEN: Wednesday, November 22 at 7 PM - 8:30 PM
WHERE: Henderson Hall, Napier Boys High School, Chambers Street

Civil Defence invites everyone who lives or works in Marewa-Napier South to attend a community meeting to talk about our hazards that can cause an emergency. It is important we understand the potential impacts of those hazards and have thought about how we will look after each other and ourselves when this happens.

This community meeting is being organised by the Marewa-Napier South Community Resilience Planning Team; a group of local people collaborating with Civil Defence to enable us to look after ourselves before, during, and after an emergency.

Recent events highlight the need for us to be prepared. Please support this very important initiative - come along to the meeting and bring your friends and neighbours too.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
