I'm seeing lots of very aggressive marketing for online tutoring. In our experience trying to learn online is one of the significant reasons that children lose confidence and find themselves struggling! Check out online tutors, most are unqualified university students! Maybe online is better than nothing in a lockdown situation, but, we offer face to face tutoring with a qualified teacher. Volunteers Wanted
Due to retirement of 3 of our long serving volunteers. We are looking for 2-3 volunteers to share the co-ordinator role, preparation of meals, to keep the much loved Tait Drive Social Club going. We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
