What would you like to learn? Suggestions we have had so far are NZ Sign Language, Cooking on a Budget and Basic Carpentry. If these interest you, please call into EIT Maraenui between 9-4 weekdays to enrol. You will need to bring your Birth Certificate or Passport with you. Volunteers Wanted
Due to retirement of 3 of our long serving volunteers. We are looking for 2-3 volunteers to share the co-ordinator role, preparation of meals, to keep the much loved Tait Drive Social Club going. We provide a social connection for our senior people, morning tea and a hearty 2 course hot meal every Monday (42 mornings a year 7.30am to 1pm ) For more information contact ELSIE 021 263 1904
Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
