An Ideal Gift Austrian Oil Seed Pumpkin
These would be a great gift for children. No packaging, fully biodegradable, a few hours of bonding and teaching life skills and an maybe an investment opportunity.
Cut the Pumpkin into quarters, scoop out the seeds, then wash and dry them. The seeds have no husk so can be eaten straight away. Lots of uses and you can try saving the seed and grow your own next summer. Otherwise order them from Kings Seeds.
The pumpkin itself is fairly bland so I just compost mine.
Your child may need help with cutting the pumpkin open. Otherwise just use commonsense or Google.
Available at Napier RDA, 61 Sandy Road or ask about deliveries.
All proceeds got to the Napier Riding For the Disabled.
Thank you.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
