Seeking Family of H R Bower

Denise from Marewa

UPDATE: Roy has a granddaughter living in Napier. A headstone has been ordered and there will be a public unveiling. I'll put up a post when we have a date and time.

We are seeking the family of Harry Roy BOWER 6/4588.

Harry is a veteran of WW1 who won the Military Medal but lies in an unmarked grave at Napier's Park Island cemetery.

He married and had a daughter who died in 2019. She may have had children or there may be descendants of his sisters.

We'd like to get him a headstone, at no cost to the family, but we need to check they have no objection.

Any family can message NZ Remembrance Army Facebook page please or me if you don't have Facebook.

Say goodbye to tyre waste

Tyrewise

About 40% of the 6.5 million tyres Kiwis use every year are recycled, repurposed, or used as tyre-derived fuel. But the rest end up in landfills, stockpiled or dumped.

The good news is now there’s an easy solution to all that tyre waste. It’s called Tyrewise and is New Zealand’s first national tyre recycling scheme.

Tyrewise ensures that tyres in Aotearoa New Zealand are recycled or repurposed properly, saving millions from going to the landfill.

Find out more about the scheme online.
