High occupancy levels at Timaru Hospital for the second time this year have put medical services under pressure.
South Canterbury District Health Board clinical resource manager Anne Greaney says "staff have gone the extra mile, working additional duties to ensure the wards/departments are resourced."
She said the high occupancy was the result of a combination of several contributing factors.
