Timaru fisherman Braden Clarke said he's not opposed to sensible regulations - "you could have a license for whitebait fishing like you do for normal fishing."

Traffic was slowed in Timaru this week when a sea lion decided to set up camp alongside State Highway 1 near Saltwater Creek.
There was an unusual "obstruction" to traffic on State Highway 1 at end southern end of Timaru on Monday morning.
