Potential site for new Dunedin dump
Have you been door-knocked hours about Dunedin City Council's proposed waste disposal facility? Is it near you? What do you think?
The council is eyeing up a potential new landfill site is Smooth Hill, which lies between State Highway 1 near the city's airport and Taieri Mouth Rd. About a dozen affected properties – most newer semi-rural homes – were contacted on Wednesday, shortly before the council held a press conference about the issue.
