Coping with cancer
The Cancer Society is inviting Franklin residents to join them in Pukekohe this Wednesday - for some free tips about coping with cancer.
Presented by Cancer Society’s psychology and nursing teams, the session has
been designed for adults with cancer and their supporters. It will provide insights and
tips on managing stress, the importance of sleep and relaxation, managing the side
effects of cancer treatment and getting the help you need.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
