Pompom bush....little potted plant.

Joan from Masterton District

This little Pompom bush is happy in its pot at the moment and should put on good growth this Summer once in the ground.
In the Spring this bush is covered with tennisball size white flowers resembling pompoms.
They are a deciduous bush.
The plant picture is the parent plant.

Pickup is in Kuripuni.
Thanks for looking.

What's your best cost-saving tip?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Just when we thought the cost of living couldn't climb any higher...it does. While things like fuel prices are out of our control, many of us are looking for small, practical ways to stretch our dollars a bit further. So let’s put our heads together!

Over the next little while, we’ll be sharing tips to help you save money — and we’d love to hear yours too. What’s working for you right now?

Here are a few ideas to get started:
🎉 Plan ahead for the year (birthdays, events, travel) to avoid surprise costs
🪙 Check out $2 shops for everyday items like stationery, baking paper, foil, and cling wrap - often much cheaper than the supermarket
🐖 Bring back the piggy bank and save your loose change
🔨 DIY where you can - like mowing the lawn instead of paying someone
💵 Set a daily budget before heading out and stick to it (cash can help!)
🧴 Stretch household products by diluting things like shampoo or dishwashing liquid

Got a tip that’s helping you save? Share it below, the tip might make a huge difference to someone else.

Sponsorship

Lara from Masterton District

Chanel College is seeking your support for the Chanel College 1st XI Girls’ Hockey Team as they prepare to compete at Tournament Week in August 2026 in Taranaki.

The team includes 17 dedicated young athletes, including Year 10 students, who have been selected to represent Chanel College at this prestigious national event. They will be competing against secondary schools from across New Zealand, and it is a fantastic opportunity for these girls to represent Masterton with pride while further developing their skills, teamwork, and resilience.

We know travel, accommodation, and tournament costs can be challenging, so we are seeking sponsorship to help ease some of these burdens. I've attached the letter from Chanel College, along with the available sponsorship package. This collaboration would provide any business with valuable exposure in our supportive community, and we greatly appreciate any assistance you can offer.

If you are interested in supporting these hardworking young athletes, I would love to hear from you and am more than happy to discuss this further. I have attached what the main sponsorship would look like with your business logo on the team tops. If you can help, please let me know. My number is 0273040113. Thanks, Lara Hooper
