This Friday is Pink Shirt Day, which began in Canada in 2007 when two students took a stand against homophobic bullying after a new student was harassed for wearing pink. People across the globe are now encouraged to wear pink on this day to take a stand against bullying and promote inclusivity.

The road reconstruction works on State Highway 2
The road reconstruction works on State Highway 2, Chapel Street, Masterton have been progressing well. The works will finish early June, weather permitting.
Throughout the works, one side of the road will be closed a time, day and night, all week. Light vehicles will need to detour down Dixon Street, and heavy vehicles to detour at Ngaumutawa Road.
