Try the new Booklover’s Trail Audio App. It’s a free, self-guided audio tour that takes listeners on a comprehensive journey of the many bookstores, literary sites, and sites of special interest in the Wairarapa. The Booklover's Trail connects booklovers with booksellers and is a new way to enjoy travelling through the Wairarapa this summer.
The Wairarapa boasts eleven independent bookstore owners and two affiliate stores, who all tell their stories on the app of how they have come to live their bookselling dream and what makes their shops unique. People associate bullying with children in schools, but it can actually stretch beyond childhood to workplaces or neighbourhoods.
This Friday is Pink Shirt Day, which began in Canada in 2007 when two students took a stand against homophobic bullying after a new student was harassed for wearing pink. People across the globe are now encouraged to wear pink on this day to take a stand against bullying and promote inclusivity.

The road reconstruction works on State Highway 2
The road reconstruction works on State Highway 2, Chapel Street, Masterton have been progressing well. The works will finish early June, weather permitting.
Throughout the works, one side of the road will be closed a time, day and night, all week. Light vehicles will need to detour down Dixon Street, and heavy vehicles to detour at Ngaumutawa Road.
