Weatherproof fun this weekend as Festivals continue

Our two winter festivals are roaring along - with the weather not so flash t his weekend here are a few things to plan for as part of as part of the WBS Carterton Heart of Winter Festival, and the Greytown Festival of Christmas:

Cobblestones have lots of indoor activities planned and their cosy cafe will be serving delicious food so you can: Ride the fire engine, have a yummy lunch, then watch a movie, complete with live piano accompaniment, while eating a bag of popcorn. Great way to spend an afternoon and keep the kids busy. Here is their VICTORIAN CHRISTMAS on Saturday www.greytownvillage.com...

New lighting displays on four buildings in The Festival of Christmas !
4 key historical buildings (The Design Library, The White Swan, Blackwell & Sons, and Emporos) have new projection lighting displays on them. They're brilliant - come back and have another look,

Carteton's Asia and Friends Night Market is on on Saturday with totally delicious options. Rug up and chow down.

Their red carpet film festival event will well and truly warm up the Events Centre -check out the Film Festival event. www.cartertonec.co.nz...

Both days of the weekend you can get BIG fun from TINY things at the Miniature Expo in the Working Men's Club in Greytown.

Every night do a circuit of the private homes lit up with lights around Greytown - the map is below.
Enjoy a busy winter weekend!

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
