Feijoa season - so many to harvest
I bought this handy tool to help pick up acorns (season almost over) and it works well. Have discovered it is useful for picking up majority of feijoas too. I bought mine from lourdangrove.co.nz and saves bending over and less raking to be done. You just roll it along the ground and they enter the cage. There are other options I know available but just a tip in these isolated times!

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
