Did the Basin Reserve miss an opportunity to makes the loos more equal?

Katie Townshend Reporter from Dominion Post

An $7.5 million dollar renovation brought the 95-year-old Museum Stand at the Basin Reserve up to modern standards - except for the women's toilets. The stand reopened on Friday, an hour before the first test against India began. During the test the only part of the interior open to the public was the new toilets. Sadly, that means less access for women. Men's toilets have two access points from the outside while women queue in the corridor, missing the on-field action. What was your experience?

Love Letters by A R Gurney

Rachel Norman from Limelight Theatre Company

Limelight Theatre Co is proud to present the Pulitzer Prize nominated play “Love Letters” by A.J. Gurney, which tells the story of the romantic attachment between two Americans, Andrew and Melissa, from their childhood schooldays and for the next fifty years of their lives.
The story is told through the letters and postcards that they exchanged throughout that period. Both were born into wealth and position. Andrew is from a close family that live the American dream. Melissa, on the other hand, is from a somewhat dysfunctional family. Their bond with each other, however, remains strong and they ultimately become involved in a brief affair together. But it was all too late. Andrew’s last letter eloquently expresses how much they meant to each other. Though physically apart, they were spiritually as close as only true lovers can be.

Over the season this will be performed by several "couples" which will provide a different experience each night. Danny Clenott, Yvonne Way, Lilla Csorgo, Ashley Rogers and Barbara Barr are the cast.

To be performed in the newly refurbished black box theatre facilities of the Carterton Events Centre.

Tickets available now! Just $20
