Last night's Power Outage!

Jan from Masterton District

Really sad news about the crash that caused the outage! Despite that, there was a beautiful night sky to ponder with the street lighting off! That begs the question "why is the street lighting left on all day?? It's puzzled me since I moved to Masterton just over a year ago!

As a ratepayer, I would really like to know why the Masterton Council does this?? We already pay plenty in rates, and I really don't see the need for street lighting during the day! Do you? What is the point of it, if all it's doing is costing the ratepayer for a un- needed council service! I've never actually seen street lighting during the day anywhere else!
Puzzling to me, but I'd be interested to hear your views! (Incidentally, they're not back on today, but probably not been repaired yet)!

Roller

Warren from Masterton District

Has anybody got a concrete or water filled hand roller that they don't need anymore. I'm putting down a new lawn and need it to compact the dirt down.
