Poll: Should cyclists ride single file?
Stuff posted an article recently about an Auckland motorist stuck behind two cyclists chatting away while taking up the road
In the article Peter Kruger, a cyclist himself, said he had no issues with cyclists – but these two were riding side by side with no consideration for motorists.
Currently, the law allows cyclists to ride side-by-side.
But states when the road was narrow or vehicles couldn't pass, cyclists should move to form a single file.
This raises the question. Should it be illegal for two or more cyclists to ride next to one another on the road?
