Did you know South Waikato netball stalwart Roy McCurran (1925-2023)?

Libby Totton Reporter from South Waikato News

Like many hard working, rural men of his generation, Roy McCurran lived by a set of values, codes of behaviour which he sought to inculcate in his children and descendants, largely by example.

One thing that was important to Roy was punctuality. Another was attending sporting events.

An athlete from an early age, Roy played rugby until he was 35, enjoyed huge success as a netball coach and believed profoundly in the positive benefits of sport, making a significant contribution to the South Waikato across multiple codes for well over four decades.
