Spring Show going ahead next weekend
The Hutt Valley Horticultural Society confirms that our Spring Show featuring Daffodils and Bonsai is going ahead for next weekend at the Lower Hutt Event Centre. Visitors should rest assure that the show has been planned to operate safely under COVID Level 2 restrictions. This is a great opportunity to see some beautiful flowers, Bonsai and pick up a new plant for your own garden.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
