Safety On The Roads
Well, the holiday season is well and truly over but the fine weather is still with us. There are still many more sunshine rays to soak up so the weekenders will still be out in force.
The kids are back to school and mum and dad back to work. Life returns to normal for another year.
This all means that the roads are still going to be busy and congested and we all need to continue to be vigilant about road safety.
Needless to say, to be safe on the roads you need to have safe driving habits and this starts from the very first day of driver training.
So if you have teenagers about to train for their driving licence, do them a favour and ensure they get the right training. How they are trained now will be ingrained into their driving habits for the rest of their lives.

Speed limits around NaeNae
Hi Neighbors, Just a heads up, I have just received a $170 fine for driving at 50km on Rata Street Naenae on a SUNDAY Morning. I wrote to NZTA pointing out and sending in a photo of sign stating that it was 30km on school days between those hours, but they said that the whole of Rata Street and some surrounding streets are 30km 24/7 and have been for over a year. Did I miss this been advised by council? Always good to be informed. Merry Christmas to all
