Super Saturday get vaccinated

There are a large range of events happening across the region.

Greater Wellington Super Saturday events include:
- Newtown School community vaccination – soccer, activities, food and music
- Heretaunga Christian Centre Upper Hut vaccination festival – spot prizes, sausage sizzle, and live music
- Do it 4 the East’ Porirua youth-led event – activities, food stalls and live music
- Takapuwahia Marae Porirua vaccination festival – free hangi and a rongoa approach
- Kapiti Community Vaccination event – Mr Whippy, food trucks, and a DJ.
The Sky Stadium drive-through vaccination clinic is also open from today until Monday and has the capacity to administer 2000 vaccinations a day.

Lower Hutt at Orange

From Friday 3 December, Lower Hutt is at Orange under the COVID-19 Protection Framework (Traffic Light System).

This means people will be required to show their My Vaccine Pass at most of our community facilities, including:

🟠 Libraries,
🟠 Pools and Fitness facilities,
🟠 Neighbourhood Hubs,
🟠 The Dowse & Petone Settlers Museum
🟠 Community Pop-up spaces, and
🟠 Lower Hutt Events Centre

Getting It Right - Current Local Stats on Covid Vac

The Mayor of Upper Hutt I am led to believe couldn't get it right a week or so ago when the UHCC slack-on-vax regulations were announced, so I have in my little hot hands the latest Covid vaccinated/unvaccinated stats (as at 6/12/21).

8000 eligible people in the Hutt Valley are unvaccinated.

The HV has 94% at least partially vaccinated and 89% fully vaccinated and these stats makes us almost the exact replication of NZ ( 94 and 88) as a whole.

The best of Upper Hutt is the Trentham area with 94% fully vaccinated and the worse is the Maoribank area with 83% fully vaccinated. But Maoribank is not the worse performing area in the HV - that stat belongs to Delaney Park area, Stokes Valley at aound 76% fully vaccinated.

Just under 300,000 eligible people are unvaccinated in NZ
