It looks like we are going to get more bad weather today. MetService has a heavy rain watch for Kāpiti and Horowhenua in place until 6pm on Tuesday and a heavy rain warning for the Tararua ranges for the same period
The Mayor of Upper Hutt I am led to believe couldn't get it right a week or so ago when the UHCC slack-on-vax regulations were announced, so I have in my little hot hands the latest Covid vaccinated/unvaccinated stats (as at 6/12/21).
8000 eligible people in the Hutt Valley are unvaccinated.
The HV has 94% at least partially vaccinated and 89% fully vaccinated and these stats makes us almost the exact replication of NZ ( 94 and 88) as a whole.
The best of Upper Hutt is the Trentham area with 94% fully vaccinated and the worse is the Maoribank area with 83% fully vaccinated. But Maoribank is not the worse performing area in the HV - that stat belongs to Delaney Park area, Stokes Valley at aound 76% fully vaccinated.
Just under 300,000 eligible people are unvaccinated in NZ
