CHEAPEST COFFEE IN UPPER HUTT?

$4?? This has to be the cheapest cuppa in Upper Hutt - either percolated coffee or a pot of tea for ONLY $4!! PLUS you can have a slice of home baking or toasted cheese and relish sandwich with your cuppa (still for only $4). AND there'll be live music to enjoy while you're sipping on your cuppa. Our MONTHLY FUNDRAISER CAFE raises money for Circuit International's work in Myanmar helping the poor and disadvantaged. You'll also find our CAR BOOT SALE in the carpark of UHBC Community Centre, corner Fergusson Drive and Milton Street. Phone 528-3454 to book a site for $15. Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?

Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.

This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
