STORM UPDATE 10.35pm 13 July 2017: Rainfall in Lower Hutt has eased for now.
The Waiwhetu Stream and Wainuiomata River levels are steady, but heavier rain is expected around midnight.
Hutt River levels are receding with the falling tide.
Those people near the Wainuiomata River still need to be prepared in case the river starts rising. We have people on the ground monitoring the situation.
