GNS Science is presenting a series of talks to inform, educate and raise awareness of key environmental and geological issues facing the Hutt Valley (and beyond) in the next 100 years.

Come along and ask questions to initiate an informed dialogue on the issues that will affect our region by 2100. Talks are FREE

Tsunami Risks – What’s the rush? Tsunamis are an ever present threat to coastal New Zealand. What are the implications for Petone and the inner harbour area? Dr William Power will discuss the areas of high risk around the Hutt and Wellington regions and discuss initiatives to protect local communities and raise awareness about the danger that tsunamis present.
