STORM UPDATE 12midnight 14 July 2017
It’s still raining in Lower Hutt and the weather forecast looks like we’re in for some heavy downpours in the early hours but Wainuiomata and Hutt River levels are receding. Waiwhetu Stream levels are steady.
We’re going to keep the Emergency Management Office open overnight and throughout the morning as we continue to monitor the situation but we think the worst of it has past. The Wainuiomata Community Hub has closed for the night. If anything changes, we’ll keep you updated here.
For now, good night. If you need us we’re here 24/7 on 04 570 6666.
