We will soon be getting under way with replacing sections of wastewater pipe in Burden Avenue, Wood Street, and Faulke Avenue, Wainuiomata.

This work will take about 12 weeks from 8 May to 31 August 2019. Hours of work will generally be 7:00am-6:00pm Monday to Saturday.

Work areas will be fenced off during construction. At times, access to properties may be restricted during working hours. If your property is affected in this way, we’ll let you know the day before, and you can contact our project team if you have any concerns about that. If you have any specific access requirements please contact us to discuss how we can work with you.

On-street car parking in the area alongside the worksite will be restricted and we ask you to please not park your vehicle within the coned areas. This will help us to get the work done as quickly as possible. There may be some delay for traffic passing through the worksite during working hours as well.

First they cut deliveries back to 3 days maybe that is why it took a parcel 3 weeks from Auckland North Shore to arrive at my address in Waiwhetu. "Disgusting service". Today I was expecting a parcel which I paid for overnight and signature required to be delivered. When I rung to find out why it was not delivered the reply was they had a breakdown at Courier Post in Wellington. Turns out the conveyor belt had broken down. Hello suggest they get off their backsides and sort the parcels like we used to manually. I was then told that it would be delivered on Friday which is actually too late as it was required tomorrow. Considering I got an update to say it is now sitting at Seaview depot waiting for courier. I actually queried another parcel that showed it was sent on the Saturday but did not leave the courier depot where it was being sent from until Monday night when it was then sorted but did not leave until the tuesday.
When I worked at NZ Post Office back in the 70's we had a 7 day 24 hour service, whereas now you are lucky if it is 3 days a week and 8 hours a day. Postal Services have gone back to the dark ages and it is time that the govt (Labour) stepped in and took charge instead of NZ Post being allowed to make their own decisions. Back before the Post Office was split we had a Postmaster General who reported to the Minister and they did not make their own decisions like they do now.
