Ruby the Retriever's forever home
Ruby is a 14-year-old Golden Retriever who was handed into Council's animal shelter in Henderson. It can be tough finding a home for older dogs, but within minutes of the Auckland Council Animal Shelters team posting her photo online, they were overwhelmed with adoption offers.
We've got a bunch of hard working people in our animal shelters. It's work that often goes unnoticed and I want to thank our staff for their efforts.
