Tell TCDC you want the Thames Bus Service Funded
The Thames bus service has been a great success so far, but there is no guarantee that it will continue when the six-month trial ends in June. The TCDC's Long Term Plan has not yet made any financial provision for an extension of the service. So, if you want the bus service to continue you need to make sure you tell the Council that you want funding provided for this year and the next 10 years. You have until 16 April, and can lodge your submission online at www.tcdc.govt.nz... email it to consultation@tcdc.govt.nz or fill in a form at the Thames reception counter. Or just download and print out the attached documents, fill in and submit.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
