Recycling on hold

Communications from Hastings District Council

All Hastings District recycling services are on hold.
Please do not put recycling at your kerbside as it will not be collected (rubbish collection continues as normal).
Transfer stations are only open to existing commercial account holders and all recycling drop off points are closed.
We do appreciate your help managing recycling at this time. Our best advice is to store your clean recycling if you can do so safely. If not, we understand some people will need to put it out in their rubbish.
We are looking at what we can do when business resumes as normal to help with the safe and appropriate disposal of recycling.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
