Summer Starter countdown: The annual fun run returns to Christchurch
On your marks, get set, get ready to go.
In just 60 days, thousands of feet, paws and wheels will hit the streets of east Christchurch for the city's annual charity fun run.
The ASB Summer Starter will kick off from the New Brighton Pier on November 26 and this year organisers have stepped up the options for participants, youngsters and their furry friends.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
