Hello neighbours- this time last year we had a wonderful (albiet cold) day taking part in the annual street collection for HeartKids NZ. Maybe you were one of those lovely people who donated when we were out and about! Sadly due to COVID 19 we are unable to do a street collection this year- still families and babies like mine benefit so much from your help! Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
