Violence came to Dave Rodger out of the blue. The Hamilton man was operating the lights at road works in Waharoa on January 11, seemingly a routine day.
But Waharoa man Finn Higgins, driving his SUV through the roadworks, and filled with rage, swerved through cones at Rodger and struck him with his car.
