Hi neighbours. Just read a message that some 2000 battery hens are due for the chop by Anzac weekend as the farm has suddenly closed.

If you can help with a new home for one or more (as pets only), please contact Sally Hart: franklinfarmsanctuary.co.nz...

Keeping public debt low

Lee from Glenview

The Government announced last Wednesday it would extend “pay restraint” - which in real terms if a "pay freeze" - introduced in the midst of Covid-19 for another three years in a bid to keep public debt low.

Why are only state sector employees being burdened with keeping public debt low? It was the entire country that created the public debt in the first place through government imposed legislation, policies, etc. Thus in one way or another we are all responsible. We also all benefitted, again in one way or another, from the protections afforded us through the Covid-19 related expenditures e.g. protecting our borders, PPE equipment for workers, keeping businesses going, social welfare assistance for those who lost their jobs, etc.

What is this all about?

Lee from Glenview

At the web link below you will see that the Western Australia Government has issued an Instrument of Authorisation under the Public Health Act 2016 (WA) "to Supply or Administer a Poison [SARS-COV-2 (COVID-19) VACCINE – Australian Defence Force] (No.2) 2021." Also that appearing under the aforementioned words there is a sub-heading which reads; "Guidance: An authorisation by the Chief Health Office under the s. 197 and s.198 Public Health Act 2016 (WA) to authorise relevant Australian Defence Force employees to supply and administer the COVID-19 Vaccine."

www.wa.gov.au...

Opening the .pdf file at the abovementioned link - which I am also providing below - one reads that Dr Andrew Robertson, Chief Health Officer (WA), acting pursuant to sections 197 and 198 of the Public Health Act 2016 (WA), was - on 5 March 2021 - given power for the purposes of emergency management during a public health state of emergency to authorise a person to supply or administer a poison ..." etc.with reference to the COVID vaccine and the Australian Defence Force.
