Black smoke blowing into the chapel, tyre-popping beside the burial lawns - this is the kind of behaviour which prompted Hamilton Park Cemetery to install CCTV cameras.
Cemetery staffers say they've noticed the skids get more deliberate and extensive over the past two to three years.
One funeral director had seen someone step in front of a car in an attempt to stop it doing a burnout, according to the Funeral Directors Association NZ.
As well as the noise - which affects other services on at the same time - the burnouts are leaving rubber marks, ripping through the seal, and cemetery staffers are worried one of the vehicles will lose control and hurt someone.

The colour is chocolate brown, deeper than shown in the photos. Two chairs are movable which means it can be made into a corner suite. The material is plush and very soft to touch. If you would like this, you will need a good size trailer or large vehicle to fit it on. The two outside seats can stack onto the main seat. 5-seater piece. Ideally, I would love for it to be taken today. Please text for address 021434550. Thanks so much .

More children are killed each year as abuse and neglect escalate ….we must do more!! Just today I have read that 2 more bubs have died; both deaths under investigation. Cmon people Rise Up, say something if you think something doesn't look right, you could save a child's life.
