Veterinary Covid Essential Services

Craig from Companion Vets

As our clients are likely to be aware we will be continuing to operate at Level 3 until further notice.
As an essential service we will still be open and available to look after you and your pets however modifications on how we operate will remain in place.
Fortunately all of our staff have had at least one covid vaccine injection several weeks ago and the team will complete their second in the next few weeks.

Points our clients need to be aware of:

-Please make appointments via phone or online booking through our website.
-Level 3 lockdown now means we need to limit any face to face contact at our premises so please be prepared to be seperated from your pet if we need to examine your pet away from you or run diagnostic tests. Dont worry we care for them just like our own.
-We are able to supply medications and food but please call or email to order them in advance and when you get to the clinic please call us from the carpark to let us know you are here to pick them up.
-As an essential service it is required that you please wear a mask when visiting our business. All staff will be wearing masks.
-We will be spacing out appointments to try and limit contact between people so we may contact you to slightly change appointment times if necessary.
-If you are unwell or have been in contact with someone who is unwell please stay home- if your pet is unwell please call us and we will make a plan to get them seen that keeps everyone safe.

And most of all, be kind and stay safe let's get through this again together!

Say goodbye to tyre waste

Tyrewise

About 40% of the 6.5 million tyres Kiwis use every year are recycled, repurposed, or used as tyre-derived fuel. But the rest end up in landfills, stockpiled or dumped.

The good news is now there’s an easy solution to all that tyre waste. It’s called Tyrewise and is New Zealand’s first national tyre recycling scheme.

Tyrewise ensures that tyres in Aotearoa New Zealand are recycled or repurposed properly, saving millions from going to the landfill.

Find out more about the scheme online.

What's your favourite piece of Waikato history?

Libby Totton Reporter from Waikato Times

Car parks inspired a milking shed design that took off around the world and became a piece of Waikato District history.

A hundred-year-old church and gravestones from the 1880s will also feature as the district turns the spotlight on its past for its first Heritage Day on April 20.
