A fire investigator will return to the scene of a fire which saw black smoke bellowing over Frankton on Monday evening.

Fire and Emergency NZ shift commander Josh Pennefather said a fire in at a car wreckers yard on Ellis Street, Frankton was reported at 5.11pm.

Some of the containers have tops on that don't seem to be able to unscrew to be able to get the last of the contents out. I like to be able to buy the large jar of some of these things but they are thin on the ground. These darned containers are everywhere!
