Spring brings out the bees looking for a new home. If you see a bee swarm and want help to safely deal with it call Charles on 021 964000. As an experienced hobby beekeeper with AFB and other training to look after bees, the bee swarm will be rehoused, checked and treated for any problems as they develop in their new environment so they will have the health and honey need to survive next winter.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
