Mother's Day Raffle tickets!
My daughter's dancing group at Rototuna Junior High School is fundraising for their competition fees, bonding, and nationals as well as team uniforms. They have set up a Mother’s Day raffle and the tickets are $5 each. If you are interested, please reply to this post and I'll arrange the tickets for you. Some of the raffle prizes are shown in the photos! Four winners will be drawn this Friday (the last day to purchase tickets will be this Thursday). Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Walking path & not one facility I could find to give a dog a drink of water.
Council. I would like to suggest that a dog drinking post or two be erected, with a metal bowl below and a self stopping tap to top it up, to give fresh water to thirsty dogs who accompany their owners on this pathway. Perhaps a water fountain at the top for the owner as well. Thank you.
