I saw a pink plastic triangle nailed to a tree and thought it was probably a trail marker for an upcoming cross country or mountainbiking event: wrong! I had no idea of the significance of these pink triangles and ribbons until I inadvertantly set off one of these traps on the ground, chained to the tree. Are gin traps even legal in this country, let alone placed alongside a walkway? For your info: I counted 4 traps within a 50 metre stretch along the track running between the the stream and the West Boundary of the park. KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN AND YOUR DOGS AND KIDS SAFE.
