Councils need to get water treatment “perfect” to avoid “severe outcomes”, says a water scientist.
But the results were less than perfect for Hamilton City on Saturday, with one sample testing positive for the faecal contamination indicator E coli. Monday tested clear, but the same was needed until Tuesday before a boil water notice could be lifted.
